But the rate cuts are straw man in the first place, which makes it more interesting and complicated from a trading perspective in that we must recognize when and if the herd sees them that way and when/if that will change. Right now they seem to be a rain check to rally at some point, but that could also be the main remaining bull hook. I am more conditioned to think in terms of us getting trapped rather than them, but clearly the danger is not on the short and hold side. The market behavior of the last several years has created pavlovian response on the short side as well, but we don't have it as bad and usually err on the side of caution.
