The last time Intel gained share on AMD was probably in late 1999. Since then, AMD may have gained a few percentage points. Last quarter, AMD produced 7M processors compared with Intel's 35M for a market share of 17%. This quarter, AMD might have a 19% market share, though they too would be affected by the economic slowdown as much as Intel.

AMD's share in 1995 was almost non-existent, but back then the anti-Intel zealots were all over Cyrix, not AMD.
