Context is never a stumbling block to those who already have their minds made up.

CONTEXT 1 : the parts of a discourse that surround a word or passage and can throw light on its meaning

You said: If you read and interpret a novel, do you treat passages in context or not? If you do, my points are perfectly reasonable.......

So what is it about the context in which Jesus stole the horse, that justifies innocense of horse theft? I had recopied the context you gave me re: "the Lord hath need of it", etc.; And I asked you if a similar context would be considered a valid defense to me, I.E. under similar circumstances. You did not answer my concern.

As well, you did not explain why Jesus chose such immature and ungodly responses re: the needless destruction of private property and food supply in the pig epidode, or the childish lesson that ecology is for adults only--in the curse the figs incident? What was served by such ignoble and criminal behaviour? People with supernatural powers can be "showy" (part of your explanation) in any way they choose. There is no need to steal horses or destroy private property or to curse the ecology.

I'm rushing this as I'm off to work, but I will be happy to read an explanation when I return. Why is it that I find the behaviour of Jesus to be repeatedly petty and immature, and disrepectful of others? Am I alone in feeling disgust at many of His choices in a field of infinite decisions?
