Frogger, Too late with that call. Covering would be my suggestion.
No profit warning is already setting Microsoft apart from a lot of other tech stocks.
If the Nasdaq has now stabilized, your chances of getting this one to 41 is pretty slim.
Nasdaq 1500 and I can see your scenario unfolding. Naz is already way too low from the highs that many funds may now be reallocating to tech and the shorts are going to get nailed along the way.

More and more tech redemptions and it could drop more. However, all retail investors are going to look at is what the Nasdaq does over the next few days and they may decide they want to get into names that they are familiar with (ie. techs)and not some energy or consumer stocks.
Also short interest is pretty high in tech and almost non-existent in a lot of old economy sectors.

IMHO of course.
