however, here's another example illustrating the fallacy of the thought process this dude entertains. say we decide that the NAZ will fall between 80 - 90% from the peak to reach its bear market bottom. that is actually a quite realistic assumption imo. well, a lurker seeing this, and agreeing, then begins to buy when it IS in fact 80% down. however, if it then proceeds to the LOWER target, he will lose 50% of his investment value before the bottom is hit! this is what makes picking bottoms in a bear market so dangerous....
