Joan, I basically agree with Tippet. Although I wouldn't short 'em right now, the Nat Gas E&P's are not cheap and are headed into the spring shoulder season. The economy is slowing. Unless you have a VERY long time horizon (6 mos plus), I'd avoid 'em for now, and revisit them in August/September. Of the ones you listed, I like APA's management the best. A safer play would be the Natural Gas royalty trusts (SJT and HGT are 2 of the best), with the additional kiciker that they pay very nice dividends....The drillers may have a little more upside here, but not where you can buy and hold 'em like you could a couple years ago.
