No one has ever witnessed a successful mutation.

How long have we been looking? We are observing a drama that plays out in tens and hundreds of millions of years, it is going to take a long time to fill in the gaps. Imagine that humans were being observed by a race whose entire lifespan passed in a matter of a few seconds, by our reckoning. Imagine how many generations it would take them to prove, through observation, that small humans eventually become large ones.

As I said, there is much to be learned, and the picture is by no means complete. But the gaps in the puzzle are slowly being filled, the outline of the picture is gradually becoming clearer, and nowhere in what we can now see is there any evidence of a deity.

If there is a God nothing says he needs to conform to your logic or any logic.

So what? I'm not asking if there is a God. I don't know and I don't care. I'm asking if there is any sensible reason why I should believe in a God, and nobody has produced one.

No one has ever witnessed a successful mutation? It happens in laboratories all the time. Somebody ignorant of science said that on feelies once. I called up a geneticist, who just laughed. Well, he didn't just laugh, he gave examples, I posted them.

Edit: I see this has been said by Patricia:
