In the States, the age of majority varies for this and that. Sixteen would not generally be conceded. Eighteen suffices for most things, although there are a couple of anomalies. I would generally, though, consider the age of consent to be properly set at sixteen for sexual relations. Anyway, I do not contemplate any restriction on consensual homosexual activity per se. I am against treating homosexuals as a protected class analogous to blacks, I think that open homosexuality would be too disruptive in the armed forces, and I am against legalizing homosexual marriage. I favor, and practice in my personal life, a degree of tolerance which is rather high, but stops short on these issues. This is because I consider homosexuality to be a rather obvious, if mostly harmless, deviance, and do not want to get rid of a sense of all sexual norms. Sexuality and family life are chaotic enough without taking a major step in eroding the sense of propriety by pretending that there is equivalence with heterosexual marriage.......
