<<Or indeed a Catholic nun.>>

I heard about priests raping nuns on the radio. An African deal. Yuck.

Actually, it is natural to view homosexuality as deviant. After all, we are constructed for sexual bipolarity, and the continuation of the race depends on it. The onus is on those who want us to view it as normal. It may be a harmless deviance, it may even be something we would not seek to cure, like left- handedness. It might be viewed more seriously. In fact, we had not been talking about homosexuality as a voluntarily contracted disease. Even Mr. Pilch had conceded my point that some people cannot help their orientation, whether it is genetic or originates in childhood. That was the point of referring to a cure. Since there is no reliable cure, despite some claims by some groups, it is not under their control, and therefore we should accommodate that situation to a large extent.......

Thanks for the response. I can see why you are offended, but I think you are overly focusing on some sentences that seam more inflammatory than they are meant to be. The general gist of their argument (it seems to me) is against the principal of gay marriages. They have made some good arguments imo and I have not picked up the feeling that they personally dislike gays.
