Whether or not homosexuality affects the good order of society directly, pretending that it is "all the same" has the tendency of breaking down whatever remaining inhibitions there may be against infidelity, gross promiscuity, pushing lower the age of consent, and so forth.

Talk about locking the barn door after the horse is gone...
