"Eternity has three components: the past, the present, and the future."

No. Time has these three components, eternity does not.

"Are you going to tell me that everyone's needs are now and always have been being absolutely and simultaneously met?"

Yes, but you have to look at it in the eternal perspective not the temporal, as this limits the concept of justice.

"So we strive." Yes we do, and fall short of the goal of justice. Yet, the ideal exists or we wouldn't have a comparative model.

"The weak get eaten. Sometimes the strong get eaten too, if they get caught by someone stronger. Fair? Just? Does the bird eaten by a snake deserve to get eaten, or was it just in the wrong place at the wrong time?"

The balance of nature makes the activities of nature obviously fair, and just. As in your example predators eat the weak, slow, or inadequate; and the heard is made healthy as a result.

My definition is needs based. It appears that your definition of fair and just may have more to do with what is wanted than what is needed.
