doing some RAD interest expense calcs, as best I can
continuing on the interest rate subject..If I am reading the data correctly..1 month LIBOR is now 5.06
London Interbank Offered Rates

LIBOR latest rate week ago year ago
1-mo. 5.06 5.06 6.12
3-mo. 4.87 4.94 6.25
6-mo. 4.68 4.79 6.44
1-yr. 4.61 4.75 6.85

according to the 99 10K
". If the market rates of interest for one month LIBOR change by 10% (approximately 60 basis points) as compared to the LIBOR rate of 5.91% and 6.65% as of February 26, 2000 and June 24, 2000, respectively, Rite Aid's annual interest expense would change by approximately $14.9 million and $16.1 million, respectively, based upon Rite Aid's variable-rate debt outstanding of approximately $2.5 billion and $2.7 billion as of February 26, 2000 and June 24, 2000, respectively."

my conclusion<g>
RAD is now paying .85% less than the Feb 26 number and 1.59% less than the June 24 number....
These savings will add up..and should read nicely in the upcomming financial report...;^)
