People can marry same sex if they want, but the financial benefits are to be reserved for heterosexual marriage. Marriage is the framework for child-bearing and -rearing and as such has certain higher costs on average than two people living apart. Society needs to somehow recognize the contribution of heterosexual marriage to the perpetuation of civilization. Other types of marriage don't do that, and don't deserve the recognition thereof. .............
