The owners were surprised at finding their colt being stolen. They had to ask what they were doing. Of course, in reading these old myths we can interpolate and invent anything we desire, so please feel free to supplement the obvious with the possible...No religious Jew would raise pigs for food Nobody said it was for self consumption, and nobody said they were religious. The pigs were there--2000 of them . Matthew 18 Early in the morning, as he was on his way back to the city, he was hungry. 19 Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, "May you never bear fruit again!" Immediately the tree withered. Do you think the hunger is not an essential insertion here from God? What do you think the hunger has to do with the response on finding that his frustrated hunger would remain frustrated? You will notice there is none of your editorializing. Investigating your editorial claims, I discovered that many varieties of figs have two growing seasons. The first may yield ripe figs by June, so it is plausible that some figs would be available in April. Give it a break, Neocon. I have never come across a scholar that did not accept the premise that this fig tree was out of season. I would not waste my time on trying to second guess trained scholarship. Nothing hangs in the balance here. It is only one example of many showing the character of Jesus. Do you not know that psychiatrists trained in the field of human behaviour have studied the myths of Jesus, and have concluded he was paranoid delusional amongst other things? Must all research be subverted or twisted to suit your emotional needs? Are you unaware of the problems with the New Testament? Why not spend a few months looking at these if you are sincere aboput seeking the truth?primenet.com Or why not spend some time looking at the origins of Christianity--rather than this futile attempt to justify thoughtless and immature behaviour--in primitive accounts from a superstitious time...truthbeknown.com
