dear ike----i have enjoyed your thread for many, many months now and know you to be a man of integrity. no one is right all of the time as no one is wrong all of the time. i am not a poster as i have been a warren buffet type investor for 45 years and have done quite well but i have very little to add on the threads i read as most are geared to trading. i am in and out of the markets as conditions warrant. your thread is the first one i read every morning and i hope to do so for many years to come. do not let other less knowledgable people get under your skin or into your head, so far you have done an excellent job of this. we have never met but i consider you a devoted friend. thanks for all of your help. best regards --doug--

Ike, you are taking this much to personal! My attack is not even that... It's only a defense against everything I post is spun by you to appear not as it is but what you want it to be. From your Profile you have the time span of experience to have experienced a "Bear Market" and 99.9% of other posters probably have not. I admitted how poorly my read was in July of 99. I thouroughly analized all of my trades after loosing trades. The most valuable lesson I received was not to read between the lines. Just because a average market PV at the time was 48, and historical PE was 19, I realized that I didn't have the insite to realize that only the markets will determine when enough is enough. I was shorting stocks with 1200 PV's and still loosing! The timing was wrong! The Mood has swung the pendalum in the opposite direction. Time again I've posted the priceless quote form "Stock Operator" when bad news is bought the "Bull will rage on" when good news is sold "The Bear is here to stay" As it is hard for me, because my personality... whatever to be a Bull I'm enjoying this ride, an contrary to what you post about me I trade almost every day. Although I don't always post regularly, I'm here. I never take what you say as a personal attack, just spirited rhetoric, between 2 individuals that operate 180 degrees apart. I never said Euro was sinking! Said Euro gaining! thestreet.com
