RE: OTOH, this is not 1975. Especially in technology, things are changing much more quickly now. How many people will be willing to put up with five months of slow grinding these days?

If Greenspan is right about this is an inventory correction and the reason for not dropping rates so fast is it would be like putting nitro methane (dragster fuel) onto a fire, the the recovery could be faster than usual also.

The internet has made getting information quickly SO MUCH IMPROVED that I think we went from triple bookings to order cancelations in record time to react to excess inventory due to slower demand. My guess is the "turn on process" will be just as unknown and the risk of "waiting on the sidelines until things look better" is it may go past you just as fast as we fell from the top where few took enough profits out to feel great about it.

Then again, we might just get another trip to $50 for AMAT for the traders to go short and for us to kick ourselves again for not lightening up as we return to low $40's...

Kirk out

PS I added some Agilent yesterday at $30 n change as it took some HEAVY bio correction AND semi correction damage and could have a double bungie snapback. BEST of all, it makes money with a low PEG.
