I don’t know why everybody goes after the "D" word. I changed this initial post within the 15 minutes deadline from Delta to Spread.

Since it's an investment message board the term Spread seems more appropriate at first .... but I now think that I was wrong. I often call my broker to buy a bull/bear call/put SPREAD and he immediately understand what I mean. It's the buying and selling simultaneously two positions that inherently has a positive/negative difference, i.e. one of them will always be priced more than the other.

In the INTC/AMD race, it's not a Spread, it's a DIFERENCE since both are independent of each other.
