NDX bounced off the bottom of its gently falling wedge it has built since yesterday. The bear in me hates falling wedges. -ng Top of wedge is around 1637 at noon.

Poet, the VIX got up to just over 60 in '98. In '87, I seem to recall reading that it got to over 180 or was it 280? I could be wrong about the specific number - but I believe that it was well into triple digits.

The day of the crash was a sight to behold - one sat in awe at the monitor watching the complete and total melt-down in stock prices; it was just mindless selling!
