It is very doable. My point was Amazon does not provide the information. Amazon claims that this information will decrease their competitive edge. I really doubt providing how may dollars in book s they sold would help a competitor.

You missed my point. My point was not that it is impossible for Amazon to know the revenue from a specific produt line. As you stated, that is easy to determine. I was saying that the information released by Amazon to their investors makes knowing this impossible. In other words, Amazon is making no effort to inform their investors.
