One possibility of pairing Palomino with 760 MP IMO is that maybe 760 MP has PowerNow, while none of the existing chips do (I don't know about ALI). KT-266 may have PowerNow support as well.

ALi Magik and KT266 were publicly said to support PowerNow!

We don't know about 760MP and PN!, but it may be why we will see server Palominos before desktop : they're the same as mobile parts.

Joe, there's a pretty strong chance that the notebook Pally's and "MP" Pally's both have larger L2 caches. This would reduce overall power consumption.
