My words all have the same meaning, as I am unlikely to choose words that do not mean what I want to say. You on the other hand have a motive for wanting to twist them. Your words did not say what I said. If "lie" disturbs you greatly- let's call it an unintentional distortion of the truth. It is not a "tiff" (imo) it is calling someone on the carpet for miscasting one's opinion. People do this all the time here- is it always "tiffish" to do this? I would have thought it was merely defense of one's position. In casting my own opinions I am unlikely to err.
