I found something very odd about the Merril Lynch DRAM report posted here the other day:

"In fact, several motherboard powerhouses, such as Asustek Computer Inc., Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. and Micro-Star International Co., reported that their sales for January and February rose by more than 60 percent. "

Several persons I forwarded the report to also commented on this statement.

That's a whopper of an increase in motherboards. What are they comparing to? Can the price reductions by Intel, AMD, and the box makers have been THAT effective? If so, then this truly is a short term blip and we should be out of the inventory correction in a few weeks, and not just of DRAM chips.
