I also read somewhere that if all RUVs got 3 mpg better milage it would save as much oil as W hopes to get from Alaska.

How much oil would be saved if NASCAR didn't drive around in circles?

OT - Intel building

More like the city and other businesses are twisting their arms. The architectural esthetics of a concrete skeleton seem to offend some folks around here.

The best suggestion I heard was to hang banners on it that said, "Intel NOT Inside ... yet." <g>

This could be a sea-change PR event for them in this town. Dell has adamantly remained an Intel shop, even though AMD has a big K6/K7/Athlon fab here and Compaq has gone both ways. Ticking off the locals is a baaaad way to maintain market share when they have to sell your stuff. Torpedoes the enthusiasm.
