These new 1.3 and 1.33 Ghz Athlons are a new T-bird stepping, not a new stepping or are Palomino?

They're better yeilding TBirds...

If they are not Palomino, maybe AMD is having trouble trying to stick too many features on Palomino at once?

Or maybe there is no need for a desktop Palomino yet... They can probably push the TBird to 1466 (not high volumes but a good 8-9% yeild) they concentrate Palominos on the mobile space were the need is obvious. Palomino IS ready, the infrastructure is about to be.

Jim the 1.3 and 1.33 are a new stepping of TBird. Maybe Andreas can clarify whether 1.30 GHz (non "C") are actually a different stepping. I think WCPUID displays stepping information. /Petz
