I'm making a mental footnote of this guy, one young, aggressive pugilist by the name of "Jeff Ford." Now: I haven't watched him fight, but I have seen Tye Fields fight, and however big and awkward he is...if Ford KO'ed him, he may be a force to be reckoned with.

So, lets see what we think of journeyman Jeff Ford fighting on the undercard of the Tua/Etienne fight...

Brock to face Fields conqueror

Olympian super heavyweight Calvin Brock returns tomorrow night in an interesting off-TV undercard bout on tomorrow's Showtime doubleheader at Texas Station Gambling Hall in North Las Vegas, NV. Brock will face Jeff Ford, 3-1 (3 KOs), who recently scored a first round knockout over previously undefeated Tye Fields, whose record was 17-0 (17 KOs) when they met. Ford's only loss was a four-round decision to Richie Jero. Heavyweights David Tua vs Danell Nicholson and Clifford Etienne vs Fres Oquendo headline the card.

LPS5 note: Also worthy of mention is that when Ford fought Tye Fields, of Fields' 17-0 record, 16 were 1st round KOs.
