Bullies are human beings with no conscience about inflicting pain and suffering. "I think bullying is disgusting and cruel and immoral" Well I do to. BTW I was sad to read about that girl and to here about the experiences that you and your sister suffered under as children. As the father of a child that endured years of teasing and even physical violence, I am very sensitive to this issue. However if evolution has worked so well for so long, the question has to be posed, Why are we messin with it? I don't think you answered that. I told you my answer and you replied "I think" it's immoral. Why do you think that, and how do you determine what is immoral without borrowing from theism things like the golden rule? Greg

I remember being surrounded by a bunch of people who were quite angry that I said "I don't believe in God." That's all I said. I didn't say there wasn't one, I just said I didn't believe in it. It was an elementary school ground and those simple words galvanized a motley uncohesive group into a small angry mob. I couldn't see the problem since I was only talking about me and not them. I've cautioned my kids to be noncommital or just say "uh-huh" when in this situation. Very little can be gained by discussion of religion in 3D social settings with those that believe strongly.
