Herb Greenberg out with a note on DDS

RealMoney exclusive (this is why you read the Columnist Convers.): Dillard's up almost 3 today when most other retailers are down. All of the headlines talk about strong results. Folks, I'm here to tell you, the pros I talk to who were on the conference call (and I'm talking about several) say it was the most confusing call ever and they are NOT convinced the numbers were anywhere near as good as the company made them out to be. Part of the problem is that the company restated numbers due to SAB 101. Analysts pushed and pushed to try to get pro-forma numbers, as if they changes were made. (Companies ALWAYS give pro forma results.) Yet the company couldn't dish them up. This is one where you really need to dig deeper, but it's hard to dig 'cause the company isn't providing all of the information. Keep an eye on this. hg
