Yeah, I saw those interviews. I don't believe them. The people interviewed were known as trouble makers on the board beforehand and had an axe to grind..... I agree that 3-31/2 is the level it needs to go to. But dropping it quickly shows presence of mind and aggressive stance. That will stanch things quickly, and won't be misinterpreted. The 1/2 point drops are just sweeteners of "give me more, give me more" for the market. This is not a prescription for holding a floor under the market.
