Last week, Davis stated he could solve the crisis in "27 minutes" if he allowed prices to rise. Well, what's taking him so long? On the same front page, it's reported the Ridgewood Power plant is producing only 3.3 megawatts of energy when it could be producing 5 megawatts. Why has Ridgewood scaled back power output during blackouts? Edison owes them $1.5 million. Lack of action by Davis to fully deregulate the electrical market in California to restore power, reduce prices and promote competition is not only political suicide, it borders on fraud. ocregister.com
