Did anyone get the conference call, or did I miss the posts?

Todays action was welcome, but incomprehensible. I don't know whether to hope for a good or a bad B/B. I still suspect that shorts are getting squeezed, as well as the acknowledgement that we'll still need chips.

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 22, 2001--Applied Materials, Inc. today announced that Minoru Morio, vice chairman and director of Sony Corporation, was elected to serve as a new member of Applied Materials' Board of Directors at the Company's annual meeting of stockholders. Mr. Morio's election is effective immediately.

Joining the Sony Corporation in 1963, Morio has been instrumental in the technology innovation and direction of Sony Corporation, a leading manufacturer of audio, video, communications and information technology products for the consumer and professional markets. He currently serves as vice chairman and director of Sony where he continues to guide the vision and technology of the corporation.
