I remember late 1998, when techs turned around.. Specifically semi equip related stocks.. At least a quarter or two before they posted profit.. Needless to say, as they turned around they were still posting losses and I thought although cheap, they are still losing money.. By the time numbers started to look good, first 100 to 150% move had already been made..

Not saying that is what is happening here but you will have to go stock specific within a sector to start looking at things.

yup IBM warning is circulating--an analyst from Wit Soundview was angrily saying "no way they will warn" on the tube.Also rumors flying that a major fund in Japan is about to announce insolvency.But whew those semis were flying up eleven percent) into the book-to-bill report---if that comes in above .8 i am told semis will run wild upwards(and the number isn't even that reliable i understand).
a warning from an MSFT or IBM and that's it ,last person out turn out the lights:).max
