I was talking with the guys in charge of network traffic at our site. I'm always a little concerned because I'm yapping on here all day. -g About a year ago, the number one non-business site visited was e-trade. Others near the top were Schwab, Datek, and a few others. Things are back to normal now, Porn controls the top 10 list.

Absolutely, UnBelievable. You're correct. BTW, great call Heinz !

Heinz, made a great call and we'll have to see if the rest of the scenario plays out tomorrow and early next week.

We've had enough of these wild up swings in the past few months to know that all they do is bring out the bottom-callers.

The fact is there was no positive event or stimulus to initiate it or perpetuate it.
Bottom-feeding is not bargain-hunting when nothing is a bargain. It is the relative perception of bargains and the advantageous position of everyone leaning to one side of the boat that allows the power-traders (ie. the Houses and Funds) to reverse course.
The nice thing about it is they don't have to make calls so that everyone leans the same way. Their automated trading systems simultaneously react to the same trading parameters. Harmonic resonance, or in this case, dissonance.
