Hi Maggie. Are you going to write about how Infineon tried (and is trying) to withhold evidence from Rambus and the court? Why don't you write an honest article about the new found evidence and the new light this sheds on the Infineon and Rambus litigation. Do it with spirit!

Hey, Mike,

A challenge for you -- why don't you do some real investigative journalism and find out what you can about the MMs trying to convert Rambus IP into "public domain" IP. You now have got a firecracker of a lead; here's your chance to break a real story. What really happened in 1992 among the JEDEC members? Who was talking to who? Who knew what and when did they know it? What went on behind those closed doors?

Whadya say? You know more about the whole story than anyone else in the press, except maybe Robertson. I'll bet he's already looking into it. You could be the first to break the story.

C'mon, go for it.

Dave

[Edit: Pomp, you beat me by about 30 seconds. Maybe.....

Nah.]

Hi Mike Magee; Oh, that Dataquest reversal... Yeah, I knew about that, even commented about it, but the Ramboids really don't care about things like that. When Dataquest was their big buddy, they couldn't leave their prognostications alone, but now that Dataquest is becoming a bit more mainstream in their predictions, they're ignoring it along with any other negative information.

And of course if you publish anything other than the most optimistic assessment of the Rambus legal and RDRAM production situation you automatically get painted as a tool of industry. All I can do is laugh.

Here's some compendiums of links showing overoptimistic RDRAM ramp predictions through the ages:

P.S. By the way, did TeamDDR give you a decent health package? My only complaint is that I have to pay for my own glasses. But overall, being a well paid minion of the dark forces has been pretty good to us, hasn't it? Surely they should be giving us great bonuses this year, what with the recent destruction of several billion dollars worth of RMBS stock value.
