Kevin, its gonna get worse, enjoy that 13 cent power. We paid $0.80 per therm for gas this winter.

Wow, its the gas that has really went up on my PGE bill. Your posting of the rates got me curious.

January '00 gas rates = $$.638/therm baseline, $.833 over baseline.

January '01 gas rates = $1.72/therm baseline (106% increase), $1.912 over baseline (130% increase)

Hard to argue in favor of the CA system with those figures. What has natural gas done in the rest of the country?

Last years PGE = $154, this years = $271 (76% increase). That is with our household using 22.5% LESS gas and 7.3% LESS electricity. It's WORSE than I thought. Jeez.
