1) Agree that conservation is not a panecea. However, disagree that it should not be part of the solution.

2) Resources are limited by availability. In ancient Rome, even the emperor could not buy a 30 minute political TV ad. Price is a secondary reflection of availability in conjunction with a moment in time and context. Not understanding the influence of time on resource availability breeds the type of attitude that 'resources are naturally limited by price'.

3) I thought you would say that education was key. You can't teach common sense; it must be learned. It is a synthetic function, not a rote subject. You cannot foist your views of common sense or 'what is stupid' on your children; if you do, they will either take the opposite stance, or become mindless drones unable to think for themselves.

4) Unfortunately, stoopidity is well represented in all classes, races, and political parties...
