"Europe is in denial," said Larry Bowman, founder of technology investment firm Bowman Capital, referring to the European Central Bank's recent decision not to lower interest rates.
On March 5, Wim Duisenberg, the president of the ECB, had this to say about the decision: "...at present there are no convincing signs that the slowdown in the US economy is having significant and lasting spill-over effects on the euro area economy as a whole."

That just leaves me speechless. Sounds like Greenspin last November and December. Remember? That was when Jack Welch at GE said the economy was going into recession. And John Chambers said we're already in recession, and on, and on, and on.
