That statement I will agree with, but Bob has much he needs to realize also..... He could start out by placing more lifeboats on his ship the next time it sinks which would show some concern and compassion for the poor folks who could only afford steerage (cheap QQQ tickets), and he should keep in mind that a captain with honor goes down with his ship..... (but guess I'm just old fashioned about one's honor and stuff like that) Yogi

"people need to realize he is only a man and that he deals in probabilities not certainties"

I think people do, but Bob needs to own up to a miss and not spin the truth. That is what angered most. Of course he be wrong, no sane person should expect perfection but Bob's arrogance is the agitating factor.

IMO today's better than anticipated consumer confidence number was a missing piece of the puzzle.

re: "these people need to realize he is only a man and that he deals in probabilities not certainties."

I have said it before and I will say it again. Most do not blame Bob for making a wrong call, but they do blame him for how he dealt with it.

sayrep,

Re: these people need to realize he is only a man and that he deals in probabilities not certainties.

I don't believe anybody is under the false assumption that Bob deals in certainties. What market timing guru doesn't deal in probabilities?

Interestingly, when other market timing gurus have made their own respective blunders Bob doesn't say we should cut them a break because they deal in probabilities. He ridicules them for just being wrong.

Why should we hold Bob to a different standard that he has set for other market timing gurus?

Best Regards.
