Paul, I added more MU today, with the knowledge that even a miserable B-to-B number will probably be bought. I tend to play this with a longer horizon than most of my plays, and therefore leave a lot of wiggle room for the games they play. As I'm sure you are aware the chips are very cyclical, and we are nowhere near the bottom of the current cycle yet. I fully expect MU to be losing over $1.00/quarter again before it bottoms and the stock price has a long way to go to reflect this. Trying to trade MU on a daily basis this thing drives me nuts, but on a fundamental basis, I am expecting to be able to cover the last of my core MU somewhere near the single digits. all FWIW, IMHO etc, of course.
good luck, JIM

Paul, I am also short MU at $46. It is a rare event when earnings reports are delayed for good news.

Paul, Micron Electronics is exiting the PC business...

zdii.com

this shouldn't come as any big surprise, but their decision to move into full web-hosting seems more like a survival move to me. Web-hosting ain't all its cracked up to be - just ask the kids at PSInet...

you can bet that MU will collapse

These guys are lying through there arse. How can they be profitable when 64 meg chips are selling at less than their cost of production ($3)?

Throw in the fact that PC growth of 20% is history and Billy can't come up with anymore bloatware, memory companies are in deep sheit.

In 1994, the standard PC came with 4 megs of Ram. Hasn't the standard been 64 megs for the last year? I can't see this going more than 128.

When do you see the industry moving to the next chip size(128)?
