BANGALORE: Datacraft has launched iBOSS (Internet Business and Operation Support Systems), a portfolio of software and services designed to help communication companies and service providers implement new Internet-based services fast and manage them effectively. It is basically for operations and business support systems in areas of Internet Protocol (IP) billing, service provisioning, fault management, performance management, CRM and managed network services.

Using Datacraft iBOSS, service providers can tap into an array of tools and solutions and can deploy new services quickly. iBOSS consolidates individual solutions from market leaders like Portal, Concord, Micromuse, Architel, Netspeak, Netscout, Cygent, Remedy, etc. into a single product framework. Datacraft will also work closely with long-time business partner Cisco Systems to integrate the iBOSS solutions with products from Cisco, like CIC, VPNSC, and other world leading suppliers of networking systems.

"Due to the exploding customer bandwidth requirements of the Internet/e-commerce revolution and the increasing capabilities of data switching gear, most service providers are faced with a constantly growing infrastructure of data network equipment," said Dilip Kumar, Datacraft India’s president.

iBOSS' performance management solution, based on Concord’s and Netscout’s Performance Management suite, adopts a proactive approach to network management by providing regular reports on network performance, network capacity and quality of service so that service providers can identify and resolve potential bottlenecks before they become critical.

Emerging service providers can also extend their offerings to include a range of revenue-generating voice applications such as phone-to-phone, PC-to-phone, Internet call waiting, call screening and voice e-commerce using iBOSS VoIP suite based on NetSpeak's iTEL products.

For customers that prefer to outsource the day-to-day management of their networks and concentrate on core business issues, iBOSS offers Datacraft's own STARtrac service. This provides round-the-clock network management through centers in Singapore, Japan and New Zealand, with a single point of contact for problem resolution across the region.
