yep. while the QQQs and Spiders are a great thing for traders, the holders of the baskets have locked themselves in...they have to pile into the tracking shares too if they want to hedge.

Heinz t/a lesson hour: has anyone lately heard 'analysts' gushing about the market's 'good breadth'? as i had pointed out when the a/d line began to improve, a recovery high in breadth that is not accompanied by a recovery high in the major indices, is bearish, not bullish. i repeat it here, because it's an important thing to keep in mind for the future.
