Perhaps, the B2B numbers were leaked. And the semi buyers have been desperately seeking a rally. Every time there has been a hint of good news, the Semis have jumped 5 to 15%. This sector has been targeted as the first sector to recover by the conventional wisdom on Wall Street.

Today the Semi stocks should move up nicely. There will be good opportunities to trade in many stocks.

On average, the 13 Wall Street strategists surveyed by Reuters expect the S&P 500 to reach 1,566 at the end of 2001. The index is currently trading at 1,118. Nine of those 13 who have a prediction for the Dow believe it will rise to 12,467, up from 9,389 currently.
