Hi bonnie,

Re that e-mail that you received, I have a vague recollection of something on the same lines that was the subject of a report on 60 minutes or some similar show a couple of years ago. The amazing part of it is that quite a few people fell for it.

Hi Bonnie,

That Nigerian scam has been going for years...i received a copy of that email by fax a few months ago...quite a few canadian businessmen were taken in by the scam and lost millions from their accounts...it was so bad that the Nigerian government took out full page ads in Canada's largest newspapers warning people not to fall for it...it seems that greed overtakes some people's sensibilties....

Hi Bonnie

I received this same email. I did respond and shortly thereafter two million dollars was transferred into my account. My guess is they were testing me with only two million prior to sending me the rest of the loot. Anyway I took that two million and bought me a nice waterfront home and a speedboat. The balance of the funds was used to purchase gobs and gobs of rambus. After all volty did say it was going to $ 200 a share didn't he, and it's much better to lose someone else's money than your own, don't you agree. Oh I forgot to mention, I did have an ulterior motive when I bought rambus, I thought volty would be proud of me and I might be invited back to post on his wonderful thread. Oh well, I do still have that nice home and boat.

Best regards,

Tom
