Hey Shaw, The Phillips curve hawks on the FED could not get past the 3.9-4.0% unemployment rates. They wouldn't let Greenie just leave it alone (even if he did really believe that productivity was creating slack in unit labor costs). No, I didn't actually bet on the Nikkei but in hindsight I probably should have. Still, it's a short term fix like all prop jobs. They will have to face their structural problems but this will buy them some time (like they haven't had 12 years ;^> ) Rob
