Well, ain't that the pot calling the kettle black? Let's see - go back to post 50478 and reread the conversation. One slightly sarcastic post and a Chicken Little reference after you failed to answer a simple and polite question vs. "you lack substance", "desperado", "cyberpunk", and the ever so eloquent "hysterics and mindless bullish polyanna insults". A bit defensive, aren't we?

Not sure why I'm bothering, but you want picks? Two current favorites:

ELNK, short-term or long. I started buying last August a little over 11 (perhaps a tad early, but who can pick the bottom?), bought more as low as 6 and on the way back up. Avg cost under 9. Current price 11 9/16. ST target 12.5-13. Next move to 18. LT target >20 to 30.

WCOM. 15 PE on 2001 projected earnings, 12 on trailing (what's this? PEs rising with earnings falling? ooooh noooo!). 15% long-term growth rate (hey, there's that magic 1:1 PEG ratio, and at 15 each to boot!). Currently own the stock around 17, so fractionally red at the moment. Loaded up on calls at yesterday's low (true. on both the stock and the option. yet I'm neither a genius nor a fibber.). Looking for around 23. Downside? 15.

Hey, you asked so politely.

PS: That should be Pollyanna - it's a proper name. Actually, Pollyannish in your usage.

PPS: How can you have a "pollyanna insult"?

PPPS: I do, in fact, try to find the good in everything, but I'm struggling with one thing. Perhaps Berney was right.
