"Covers worthless".....I agree....physics would portend that we have an equal opposite reaction to the massive 95-00 ramp coming......or take even 1/2 or 1/3 of that......that still means A LOT more covers of bears....not just the 1st ones.....in fact.....the bear will probably be over when stocks are NO LONGER on covers of rags.....are reduced in the newspaper to 1/2 column a week (I'm not kidding!) on page 22...and there is a lot more info about other investment vehicles...

For those of us who just started investing since 1980...its SO EASY to lose the overall perspective....like the mania at the top....everyone still compares things on a 1998-2001 relative basis, or 1995-2001 relative basis...the trick here, I think, is to figure out, what is the absolute basis of measure here? And I am convinced it is pre-1995...and likely way before that too (still debating that one, though..)
