>>FDR together, as they happen to be the best Presidents we had. One saved the Union, the other saved the World

One may have saved the Union, the other, FDR, saved something but it certainly wasn't the World. FDR cost US untold trillions as his blunders gave the World the Cold War. Being brain-dead and having a Soviet spy as his chief aide at Yalta is still no excuse.

>>I don't know your politics in particular

I happen to be a libertarian.

>>Suppression of 'incorrect' art and literature, suppression of 'distasteful' film and TV, suppression of 'unacceptable' songs, suppression of 'unpatriotic' acts. Have we traveled so little since McCarthy?

I am not a follower of such but I believe you mischaracterize those that you don't understand.

You appear to confuse "suppression" of art and literature with an unwillingness to have government finance "objectional" art. Of course, the Left always thinks it is entitled to be financed from the public trough but I agree with those that say the Left should find others to finance their endeavors and then "suppression" will not be an issue.

You do understand that distinction, do you not?

the other saved the World.
You're kidding, right?
FDR started his own private shooting war with Germany in contravention of the Constitution and in violation of law at the time and he's a hero????
