"Possibly, although there is a plan afoot to provide telephony packaged with my cable modem/cable TV,"

Ray- Exactly. If you sign up, you'll be one of only about 600,000 cable telephony subscribers in the USA.

My sister, living in MI, just gave up on the cell phone only idea. She just opted (I got the e-mail w/new fixed line number this AM) to go with a package MediaOne(a cableco) offered. So she now has cable telephony. The cell phone replacement for a land line was not practical.

If you go with cable telephony, please keep us updated on how well it works and company stickers on the CPE. Thanks. -MikeM(From Florida)

PS Did your friend ever get their BBFW service running? Sorry I forgot. Who was the wireless SP?
