Hi Herm and all:
I also have noticed how quiet this and other boards have been lately. Almost as if people are stunned and speechless by the decimation the market has/is given or giving them currently. As some of you know, I am the bear here on the board. I have been selling short for quite sometime now and do not foresee that trend stopping anytime soon. I am now up over just under 400% since jan 1.
I posted a few of my ideas here and trhey were in fact money makers, some of them very much so. Currently, I am short ulgx for the second time and genz, both of which are great shorts chartwise and fundamentals wise.
I did go long pcti 2 days ago, but sold today for a very small profit when the nasdaq took the bottom support level I saw out, meaning we have some more downside left to go. Doesn't matter what you own in a bear market, it will go down. When will it end you ask? I don't know, but i think the nas will see less than 1500, and the dow below 8000. Short term support for the dow is 9600, then 9200, then it is watch out below.
Many of the candidates which have nice call premiums are quite dangerous. The only thing a covered call writer can do is try Herm's hedge wrappers, of which I really haven't ever tried yet.
Anyway, I hope you are all doing well in this market and just thought I would check in to liven things up. Just a short list of shorts I have on my watch list here. I will let you all figure out the entry points if you are interested.

Hi Herm
I'm not lurking as often as I used to......but I wanted to ask you something.
I've continued with long LEAPS calls and short the next months CC in several stocks over the "down period" of the past 12 months. Some of these positions have not done well as you know.
I still expect flat to downside markets for a few months.
I haven't done any calendar spreads with PUTS...as you discuss at your WINS site (just been a bit wimpy I guess). Have your disciples done well with this strategy over the past year?...or have they been burned because their downstrike short PUT has come up for exercise....and it's cost them more than the increase in value of the Long LEAPS call??

e.g. in short...how have Bear Put LEAPS Calendar Spreads worked out over this period??
