Six months hence, when the analyst pays a visit to Fidelity in search of expanding that firm's commissions from Fido into seven figures, the analyst will take his report with him.

If Cisco drops 25%, he'll produce that pertinent part of the report as proof of what a genius he is.

If Cisco doubles from here, he'll show them his "Strong Buy" rating as proof that he couldn't be swayed by the bearish sentiment.

Frankly, I think that he probably couldn't care less about dumb money. He just wants Fido's juice.
