rob, i'm not conviced chairs get added over the long term. at least not as many as one would be led to believe by a price graph.

the fact is, people buy high in higher volumes. this market tells the story. last time we were at 1900 on the way up everyone was happy. 2 years later they are broke.

we are still at 1900. many folks are broke and they've been long the market since the '80s. my dad's friend was sick and tired of "underperforming" and switched almost his investments into "aggressive" techs at naz 4500. unfortunately, he did not put the same amount of dough into the markets back in the 80s. he may have lost a decade or more worth of gains.

he doesn't see any new chairs.

bottom line, the charts need to be volume weighted to get a real picture. we are much worse off at naz 1900 on the way down than naz 1500 on the way up.
